SCIENTISTS REVEAL LOW-COST
TEST FOR ZIKA

ASU researchers collaborating with Wyss Institute in Boston developed a new, low-cost test for the Zika virus – one that can be easily administered, even in places with limited medical resources. With a vaccine for the virus years away, this test will be critical to stopping the spread of the devastating illness that is known to cause serious brain abnormalities in infants born to infected mothers. The findings were published in the journal Cell.
