NSF AWARD WILL EXPANDSCOPE, IMPACT OF ASU WATER RESEARCH

Researchers at ASU are helping ensure that residents of the Colorado River Basin and the cities relying on its water can overcome drought and remain sustainable in the decades to come. In the face of increasing uncertainty, the group is anticipating water crises we may run into and creating robust options to sustain our water supplies well into the future.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded $4.5 million to ASU’s Decision Center for a Desert City (DCDC) to expand its geographic scope and study other cities dependent on Colorado River water. This brings total NSF investment in DCDC to $18 million.
