Air Force scientists and engineers will soon be collaborating with UA students and faculty to work on projects dealing with directed energy and space vehicles. Thanks to the new partnership, UA students and faculty will also have increased access to Air Force researchers, specialized test facilities and surplus Air Force research equipment.
UA became one of only five universities in the country – and the only one in Arizona – to sign a Strategic Educational Partnership Agreement with the Air Force Research Laboratory. The agreement will be used to facilitate collaborative research opportunities, develop and improve career opportunities for students, advance technological development in the state of Arizona and expand STEM education outreach initiatives throughout the Arizona educational system.
