Established a Strategic Business Initiatives (SBI) unit that matches UA R&D capabilities and expertise with industry need. SBI offers services such as facilitating access to corporate programs, connecting industry to UA researchers, and managing project deliverables.
The newly-created Global Research Alliances division focuses on identifying and realizing international research partnerships and large-scale endeavors, particularly focused on geographic areas that are of strategic importance. The unit works closely with staff from the Office for Global Initiatives and the Vice Provost for International Education to promote UA’s international footprint.
Increasing visibility with federal agencies by deepening federal engagement. Activities include reciprocal visits among high-level government officials, agency program managers and UA leadership and faculty to broaden, solidify and/or deepen relationships, to increase agency knowledge of our R&D capabilities, and to enhance our researchers understanding of federal opportunities and priorities.
